Compare the house, yard, association obligations and adjoining land. The county approved a separate 152-home redevelopment on the former golf course in 2024; review the current project and environmental documents for any property near it.
The lifestyle here starts with a residential street and your own home rather than a working golf club. A weekday can revolve around the yard, work and errands; an evening out can take you toward Congress Avenue; a weekend can mean Oceanfront Park. Choose the lot with those routines in mind, then compare its relationship to the former course.
Living in Cypress Creek: home space first
The Cypress Creek Property Owners Association describes gated streets, mature tropical foliage and residential living. Its project information distinguishes existing homes and lots from the smaller lots proposed for the former course. That distinction matters when you compare backyard space, privacy and maintenance rather than treating every listing with Cypress Creek in its name as the same product.
Weekday: Walk the actual yard and check how you would use the patio, pool if present, and indoor living space. Ask which landscaping, irrigation and exterior work belongs to the owner. A larger-looking lawn on a photograph does not establish the surveyed boundary or usable space.
Evening: Congress Avenue offers shopping and dining outside the gates. The current Boynton Beach Mall directory lists options including Sarku Japan and Yaadman Kitchen. Check the operator before heading out, and drive your own errand route from the gate.
Weekend: Oceanfront Park, at 6415 N Ocean Boulevard in Ocean Ridge, offers beach access, picnic areas and an adult fitness area. Parking and beach conditions are part of planning an outing. This is public recreation outside the neighborhood, not an included community amenity.

The former golf course: read the current record
Palm Beach County approved rezoning the former course for 152 single-family homes in July 2024, under Resolution R-2024-0864. The county maintains a dedicated Cypress Creek PUD information page with the resolution, soil-management plan, environmental correspondence and quarterly reports. This is a separate project from an existing Cypress Creek resale home.
The county's January 2025 agenda describes a 122.53-acre closed course site, reported arsenic impacts in soil and groundwater, and a requested Brownfield Area designation. The designation process and cleanup records concern that identified site; they do not establish the condition of every neighboring residential lot. The April 21, 2026 quarterly report on the county portal describes a remediation strategy involving source removal, additional sampling and at least one year of groundwater monitoring after earthwork. It also identifies remaining off-site assessment work. These are dated project reports, not proof that cleanup is complete. Before buying beside the site, match the survey to the approved plan, buffers, drainage and adjoining proposed use. Review seller disclosures and current environmental reports with the appropriate inspector or environmental professional. Nearby-change check, October 27, 2026: The former-course redevelopment is the material local change in this review. The county portal lists an April 21, 2026 quarterly report and a soil-management plan. Check the property, the association and your routine
Association: The POA website identifies AKAM Property Management. Obtain the current assessment schedule, budget, reserve information, application requirements and any pending assessments directly. Review leasing, pet, vehicle, alteration and guest-entry rules for the actual property.
House and lot: Compare the roof and permitted work, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems, drainage and any pool or irrigation equipment. Home age does not establish roof age or remove the need for a full inspection. Obtain property-specific insurance and flood information during due diligence.
Schools and services: Use the School District of Palm Beach County address lookup for current public-school assignment; a Boynton Beach mailing address does not establish eligibility.
